JACKSON, Miss. — JXN Water and the Jackson-Hinds Library System today announced a new partnership aimed at expanding access to essential utility services for Jackson residents — and they are marking the occasion in the community room at the Margaret Alexander Walker Public Library, 2525 Robinson Rd, where JXN Water will host its upcoming quarterly meeting and debut the Quick Pay Kiosk.
The quarterly meeting brings together JXN Water’s leadership, project leads, and community stakeholders for a live look at utility improvements underway across the city. Hosting the event at Margaret Walker Library is a deliberate reflection of the values both organizations share — meeting people where they already gather, in spaces they already trust.
The gathering also serves as the public launch of JXN Water’s Quick Pay Kiosk Tour. Through the partnership with the Jackson-Hinds Library System, fee-free payment kiosks are now installed at select library branches across the city — giving customers a fast, accessible way to pay their water bill without requiring an online account or travel to a JXN Water office. The Margaret Walker branch is Stop One.
“Public libraries are trusted community spaces where residents already come to learn, connect, and take care of everyday needs. By partnering with JXN Water, we are expanding the role of the library as a place of practical access — helping remove barriers to essential services and making it easier for people to manage their water bills close to home. We’re proud that Margaret Walker Library is the first stop on this tour and the beginning of a partnership centered on access, dignity, and service.”
— Jeanne Williams Executive Director, Jackson-Hinds Library System
““Our partnership with the Jackson-Hinds Library System speaks to a simple but important priority for JXN Water: access. The Quick Pay Kiosk Tour is designed to make the customer experience easier for families by bringing convenient fee-free payment options closer to where people already are. Libraries are trusted neighborhood spaces, and that makes them a natural place to begin this work.”
— Aisha Carson, Lead Communications Officer & Spokesperson, JXN Water
In addition to the kiosk demonstration, residents in attendance will have access to real-time project updates, including progress on water infrastructure improvements, service reliability initiatives, and customer experience programs being implemented under the direction of the court-appointed Interim Third-Party Manager.
JXN Water’s Quick Pay Kiosks are available at select Jackson-Hinds Library System branches and offer a fast, fee-free payment option for customers. No account login or additional fees are required to make a payment at the kiosk. For a full list of kiosk locations and program details, visit jxnwater.com/waystopay
